Many fat girls are angry. It seems like a lot of fat bloggers are angry. Angry at:

Themselves

Their parents

The “fashion” industry

The men in their lives

“Skinny bitches”

The food industry

Mainstream media

God

Airlines

Barbie

And on & on & on.

I’m not really all that angry. Maybe I’d be a better writer if I were.

I used to have a political bumper sticker that said, “If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention.”

I think I’m attentive. I’m

Just

Not

Angry.

(& I’m not even medicated!)

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
dash salt
dash cinnamon
dash nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
2 large mashed bananas
1/2 cup sugar (can do half brown, half white)
1/4 cup oil
Optional: handful of chopped walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, spray loaf pan (I used silicone) with cooking spray.

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Make a “well” in the center of mixture.

In a small bowl, combine egg, banana, sugar, oil and (optional) walnuts. Add to flour mixture.

Stir until just moistened, pour into prepared loaf pan.

Bake 25-30 minutes.

Yum. I took a slice straight out of the oven and spread almond butter on it. So. Good.

I’d like the weekend back now, please.

I’m not awake yet. But… I have to get going if I don’t want to be late for work. Have a great Mon… er… Tuesday.

Nobody’s more excited about grilling season than I am. Here’s my delicious plate of goodies:

Tequila-lime BBQ chicken, chicken sausage with asiago cheese and spinach, the cutest little yellow squash you’ve ever seen, and a salad with mixed greens, baby carrots, and roma tomato.

I made up this Tequila-Lime BBQ Chicken as I went along, and it was fantastic. Here’s what I did…

I marinated the chicken for about 4 hours in lime juice and a splash of tequila. For three large chicken breasts, I used the juice of 3 limes.

Then, I tossed them on the grill pan, cooked until almost done, then brushed some plain ol’ honey barbeque sauce on them. Not even fancy barbeque sauce. Just regular, cheap-o barbeque sauce.

So moist and good. The tequila and lime added a wonderful zip under the sweetness of the barbeque sauce. Perfectly balanced!

See how cute? They’re out of my boss’ dad’s very own garden. How nice of him to share with me! It’s so fresh and delicious!
